22 Doula Duties & Prenatal Yoga with Megan Peterson
My guest for episode 22 is Megan Peterson! She’s a doula as well as a yoga teacher. In addition to regular vinyasa classes, she teaches pre and post natal yoga. If you’re like me, you have no idea what a doula is. A doula, according to dona.org, is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.
In this episode, Megan explains what a doula does, how she got her start, and how her skills in teaching yoga help her as a doula. She also touched on some yoga poses to consider avoiding during pregnancy as well as helpful modifications.
